About Steve Behal
Steve Behal's career as a artist has taken a broad and diverse route.
He has worked as a freelance photojournalist for over 25 years. The core of his work is to bring spontaneity to life's moments, whether it be for editorial, corporate, advertising or matrimonial clients. He specializes in people on location, and brings a unique artistry and flair to each assignment.
As a freelance photojournalist for many of Canada's largest newspapers and magazines, he has photographed Kings, Queens, and Prime Ministers, as well as leaders in commerce, culture and the community.
Steve prides himself on bringing vitality and naturalism to each of his photographs. "Life is spontaneous ... a portrait, no matter how complicated to execute, must appear relaxed and unaffected. To capture that quality on film is the mark of a good photographer."
